About MYWW
The McMullan Young Writers Workshop (MYWW) provides promising young writers an opportunity to develop as creative writers and study literature under the guidance of respected writing instructors and college professors.
Students learn from accomplished writers, and professors of poetry, drama, fiction, and creative non-fiction. The campers have the chance to workshop their own creative pieces and discuss craft with numerous talented writers. The program also provides young writers with the opportunity to attend a presentation of craft with professionals in the field of creative writing.
The McMullan Young Writers Workshop is made possible through the generous support of the McMullan Family Foundation, in partnership with the Eudora Welty Foundation and Millsaps College. Participation in the workshop is limited to 72 students who are rising 10th graders through rising college freshmen.
